You: Hands and wrists are aching after yesterday's bag work. Can today be a recovery session instead?
Your coach: Done. Today is a recovery session: an easy walk, mobility and slow breathing, no bag and no grip work. Wrap up properly before Thursday's rounds.

The problem

Why generic cardio fails fighters

01

The live-round wall

Standard cardio does not prepare you for combat sports. Generic plans program steady state work, leaving you empty when you need to string together combinations under pressure.

02

Treating striking like cardio

Hitting a heavy bag without structure builds bad habits. You throw random punches until you are tired, rather than pacing rounds with a clear theme.

03

Heavy lifting, slow hips

Bodybuilding splits make you stiff. Generic strength plans ignore the hip drive, rotational power, grip strength, and neck work required for combat sports.

The method

How your coach builds the engine

01

Structured fight rounds

Your coach programs heavy bag work with intervals of 3 on and 1 off. Every round gets a specific theme to build your aerobic base.

RuleAdd a round before adding minutes, then load.

02

Technique week deloads

Hitting pads and bags takes a toll on your hands and shoulders. The coach steps back the intensity to focus on technique and recovery.

RulePrograms a lighter technique week every 4 weeks.

03

Camp fueling

Combat athletes need sustained energy. Your coach sets a daily protein target scaled to your bodyweight, with carbohydrate placed before and after your rounds.

RulePrograms 4 meals a day for sustained energy.

04

Daily readiness adjustments

The app reads your sleep and heart rate data from Apple Health. If you are carrying fatigue from a hard sparring session, the plan adapts.

RuleLightens your next session when resting heart rate runs high.

Your week

Built to adapt

A plan that moves when your week does.

It reads your recovery

Connect Apple Health or Health Connect. When sleep, HRV or resting heart rate say you are under-recovered, today's session gets lighter. Planned deloads follow your coach's schedule, and you can ask for one in chat.

Chat that changes the plan

Travelling, sore, short on time, missed a meal: tell your coach at any hour. It rebuilds the week or re-portions the day, and confirms the change in chat.

Check-ins it acts on

Daily check-ins and progress photos go to your coach, and your plan is adjusted from what actually happened, not what was scheduled.

Questions

Straight answers.

Something else? Ask your coach in chat once you are in. It answers at any hour.

Do I need a boxing gym to do this?

No. You need a heavy bag with gloves and wraps, a jump rope and space to shadowbox, plus kettlebells, a medicine ball, a pull-up bar and bands for strength days. You can swap any exercise in chat.

How does the nutrition plan handle weight classes?

The coach manages weight class gradually rather than rapid water cutting. It sets a daily protein target scaled to your bodyweight, spread across 4 meals a day.

What if I already train martial arts during the week?

Sessions start on fixed days: bag rounds Monday, strength Tuesday, shadowboxing Thursday, clinch and legs Friday, fight sim Saturday. Tell your coach in chat when you have class or sparring, and it moves sessions so hard striking and sparring do not stack.

How does the coach prevent overtraining?

It reads your sleep and morning heart rate data. If your training fatigue is high or your sleep is poor, the coach lightens the session. Every 4 weeks is a scheduled technique deload.

I am a beginner. Is this too intense?

It is built for first-timers too. Beginners start bag rounds at two minutes for the first two weeks, after a technical shadowboxing round. Add a round before adding minutes, and ask your coach in chat when to step up.

What do I get for free?

Your account is free — browse coaches, explore the app, and connect with a coach. Each AI coach is a monthly subscription (priced by coach); cancel anytime in a tap.

Is this a real coach or an AI?

It's an AI coach built on a real training methodology for this exact niche. It writes your plans, adjusts them from your check-ins and progress, and answers questions any time — no waiting for office hours.

What if it doesn't fit my situation?

Your plan is built from YOUR intake — goals, schedule, equipment, injuries, preferences. If something doesn't fit, tell your coach in chat and it adjusts. And you can cancel any subscription anytime.
