You: My knee pain hit a 4 during those step-ups today.
Your coach: Then the step-ups stop there. Pain past 3 makes today your pool-or-bike day: water walking or a recumbent bike plus five minutes of range of motion. Anything that reaches 4 in a set becomes an isometric.

The problem

Why standard gym plans fail aging joints

01

Pushing through joint pain

Generic programs ask you to ignore discomfort. They push deep flexion and heavy loads, leaving you with stiff, swollen joints the next morning.

02

Ignoring hand and grip stress

Most strength routines require heavy gripping. If your hands need protecting, holding heavy dumbbells flares your fingers before your legs get a workout.

03

The gap after physical therapy

When your clinical sessions end, standard gym routines move too fast. They lack the precise loading and daily monitoring you need to maintain progress.

The method

How this coach protects your joints

01

Pain-guided progression

Each session starts with isometric holds at comfortable angles, then three-second tempo movements inside the range you own. The notes tell you when to open the range or add load.

RuleAdd load only when pain stays at 0 to 3.

02

Reactive deload weeks

Your joints dictate the pace. If a joint feels worse the next day, or if fatigue is high, the coach drops the load.

RuleDrops load if fatigue hits 7 or pain reaches 4.

03

Anti-inflammatory nutrition

The food plan follows a Mediterranean pattern with colorful vegetables, olive oil and oily fish, plus a no-chop Flare Day menu for bad days.

RulePrograms 3 meals daily with oily fish three times weekly.

04

Daily joint feedback

The coach checks your joint stiffness, pain levels, and sleep quality. It reads your wearable data and adjusts the day's session accordingly.

RuleMakes today's session lighter when joint stiffness or pain rises.

Your week

A typical training week

On a flare day the pain check swaps the session for pool or bike work; ask in chat to move a day around your routine.

Built to adapt

A plan that moves when your week does.

It reads your recovery

Connect Apple Health or Health Connect. When sleep, HRV or resting heart rate say you are under-recovered, today's session gets lighter. Planned deloads follow your coach's schedule, and you can ask for one in chat.

Chat that changes the plan

Travelling, sore, short on time, missed a meal: tell your coach at any hour. It rebuilds the week or re-portions the day, and confirms the change in chat.

Check-ins it acts on

Daily check-ins and progress photos go to your coach, and your plan is adjusted from what actually happened, not what was scheduled.

How this coach works

What JointSaver Coach does, and what it leaves to your clinician.

  • Your plan comes from JointSaver Coach's written programme — the week, how load goes up, when it backs off and how it feeds you, as shown above — matched to your intake: goals, schedule, equipment, injuries and the health details you share.
  • It is an AI fitness coach, not a clinician. It does not diagnose, treat or change medication, and it works inside the limits your clinician sets.
  • When your wearable shows low recovery, today's session gets lighter. Planned deloads follow the programme's schedule, and you can ask for one in chat at any time.
  • The programme was written for this coach and is checked by automated rules. No clinician has reviewed it, and none of the organisations below has reviewed or endorsed Agents4 Fitness.

Your clinician manages your condition and any medication; your coach plans training and food inside the limits they set.

Questions

Straight answers.

Something else? Ask your coach in chat once you are in. It answers at any hour.

How long are the training sessions?

Sessions last from 10 to 45 minutes, depending on the day and your joint feedback.

What if I have a flare-up?

A hot or swollen joint, a new joint or a fever stops that day's session and goes to your physician. Morning stiffness over half an hour or a sore joint turns the session into pool or bike work with the range-of-motion block.

What equipment do I need?

A gym with a stationary bike, leg press, lat pulldown and hamstring curl, plus light dumbbells, a band and a low step. Straps or wrist loops spare rheumatoid hands, and a pool helps on rest days.

How does the nutrition plan work?

It programs an anti-inflammatory diet based on a Mediterranean pattern. You get 3 meals a day with a daily protein target scaled to your bodyweight.

What if an exercise hurts my joints?

Every loaded exercise has one rule: pain of 0 to 3 out of 10 is fine, but you stop at 4. Tell the coach in chat, and it will swap the movement.

What do I get for free?

Your account is free — browse coaches, explore the app, and connect with a coach. Each AI coach is a monthly subscription (priced by coach); cancel anytime in a tap.

Is this a real coach or an AI?

It's an AI coach built on a real training methodology for this exact niche. It writes your plans, adjusts them from your check-ins and progress, and answers questions any time — no waiting for office hours.

What if it doesn't fit my situation?

Your plan is built from YOUR intake — goals, schedule, equipment, injuries, preferences. If something doesn't fit, tell your coach in chat and it adjusts. And you can cancel any subscription anytime.

What happens to my data?

Your data stays yours. We never sell it, and you can export or delete your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
